Anique Hameed

A record of building and leading.

I work at the intersection of corporate philanthropy, community investment, and systems change, translating institutional commitments into measurable outcomes for the communities they're meant to serve. The selected work below spans corporate philanthropy, government, and education — each example reflects my role within the institutions and teams responsible for the work.

13+Years in philanthropy, government & public affairs
100+Organizations funded across 40+ states
300+Institutions advised during federal COVID-19 response
100M+Individuals reached through programs and outreach across my career

Philanthropic strategy and portfolio leadership

Managed a $40M+ philanthropic portfolio spanning flagship health-equity programs, responsive grantmaking, and a $9M sponsorship portfolio. Oversaw the grantmaking lifecycle for more than 100 organizations across 40+ states, connecting funding decisions with community priorities and organizational capacity.

My responsibilities included funding strategy, partner relationships, evaluation, and accountability. I also led improvements to sponsorship evaluation and approval processes that generated $2M in cost savings while strengthening reporting quality and alignment.

Produced social impact and CSR reporting that contributed to the company's recognition as a top global philanthropic funder of HIV programs, including a company-wide data review monitoring $200M+ in global giving.

Black women's health initiative

Conceptualized, developed, and led a $12.6M multi-phase Black women's health and wellness initiative. Originated the program through a community advisory board process, designed its grantmaking, capacity-building, and direct-service pillars, and led launch and implementation.

Since launch, the initiative has grown to a network of 19 grantee organizations delivering HIV testing, training, and wraparound support to Black women and girls nationwide.

12,574Black women have sought HIV testing since the initiative launched
3,383Stakeholders trained in culturally competent, gender-specific education
$43M+Additional funding leveraged by grantee organizations to date
758Sustained partnerships cultivated across the initiative

Brokered strategic partnerships with organizations including Sarah Jakes Roberts' Woman Evolve, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and Black Health Connect to bring culturally relevant HIV information, testing, and tools to diverse communities — connecting thousands of individuals across the country to the supportive services they need. Secured a partnership with the Black Women's Health Imperative to conduct community health surveying that directly informed grantmaking priorities, and brokered a partnership with Resilia, a national social good technology platform, to deliver capacity-building support directly to grantee organizations.

Convened two community advisory boards — one that shaped the initiative's architecture from inception, and a second whose insights were used to restructure an underperforming legacy program to better meet community and organizational needs.

The approach connected prevention services, culturally relevant engagement, organizational support, and community partnerships. My contribution was to translate community insight into a funded strategy and lead its implementation; participating organizations delivered the work in their communities.

National education outreach and public affairs

Directed a 40-member project team supporting national education outreach reaching more than 40 million people. Developed strategic communications and briefing materials for senior government audiences, including White House staff, congressional offices, and Department of Education leadership.

This work required coordinating stakeholders, translating complex information, and supporting communication at national scale. During the federal COVID-19 response, this work extended to advising 300+ higher education institutions on policy compliance and continuity planning.

Economic opportunity and workforce development

Designed and launched $5M in public grant programs, including a workforce intermediary that connected more than 400 residents to career training, job readiness, and employment pathways.

Led program development, community engagement, and stakeholder management for a $22M workforce training academy, coordinating more than 40 organizational partnerships.
