I bring the full perspective.

I'm Anique Hameed, a social impact and philanthropy executive working at the intersection of corporate philanthropy, community investment, and systems change — designing and leading programs that expand access and address the structural drivers of health, education, and economic opportunity.

Across 13+ years, I have managed multi-million-dollar philanthropic portfolios on behalf of Fortune 100 companies, nonprofit organizations, and government partners, translating institutional commitments into measurable outcomes for the communities those investments are meant to serve.

Where my perspective began

I grew up in a lower-income, working-class community just outside Washington, D.C., raised by a community of Black women. Their care and resourcefulness shaped me. Watching them navigate health challenges also shaped my understanding of how deeply health affects a family and a community.

My first jobs came through my local city's summer youth employment program. Before I had the language for community investment or social impact, I was already experiencing its value and contributing through my work. Those early opportunities helped me enter the workforce and begin the career I would build.

I carry that understanding into my work. Having both received services and led programs and funding decisions, I pay close attention to how an institution's intentions translate into someone's experience.

How I lead

I ask who helped define the need, whose knowledge informs the solution, and what it will take to deliver. I bring people together across sectors and priorities, make complex work clear, and connect strategy with the practical decisions that move it forward.

My career across education, economic development, public affairs, and health equity has reinforced how closely health, learning, and economic opportunity are connected. I approach those relationships with institutional experience and respect for the knowledge communities hold.

I bring warmth, directness, and a strong sense of who I am. I take the work seriously, and I believe people deserve that.

Increasingly drawn to health and wellness

I'm increasingly drawn to the broader health and wellness ecosystem — particularly initiatives that strengthen community wellbeing, expand workforce pathways, and create environments where people have the opportunity to truly thrive. It's the same thread that runs through my advisory work and Healing House.
